- Attendance Works is a national and state initiative that promotes awareness of the important role that school attendance plays in achieving academic success starting with school entry. They have created an extensive array of research, resources, strategies and webinars. The website includes a toolkit and access to information on national and local programs addressing chronic absenteeism.
- Campaign For Grade Level Reading is a collaborative effort by foundations, nonprofit partners, states and communities across the nation to ensure that more children in low-income families succeed in school and graduate prepared for college, a career, and active citizenship. The Campaign focuses on the most important predictor of school success and high school graduation—grade-level reading by the end of third grade.
- Center on School, Family and Community Partnerships at Johns Hopkins University does research and policy analysis on ways to help parents, educators, and communities improve schools, strengthen families and enhance student learning and development.
- Ready Freddy Program: Pathways to Kindergarten Success developed by the University of Pittsburgh provides a comprehensive approach to support children and their families transition to kindergarten. The website offers materials and ideas that can be used by children, families and schools. The 2014 Ready Freddy calendar is available for children entering school in fall, 2014.

- Adoptive and Foster Families of Maine (AFFM): The Adoptive and Foster Families of Maine and the Kinship program provides support services for adoptive and foster parents and kinship providers. AFFM provides training, guidance and resources to current or those interested in becoming foster families.
- Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) BBBS is a mentoring program serving children. BBBS provides direct service to children by matching them with adults or high school students (depending on program) in quality mentor relationships either in the community-based program or the school-based program.
- GEAR Parent Network (Gaining Empowerment Achieves Results):GEAR is a parent to parent network for families of children with behavioral health needs offering resources and training. It’s a statewide program through Crisis and Counseling Center.

- Maine Parent Federation (MPF): Maine Parent Federation provides information, referral, one on one telephone support, and training to parents of children with disabilities or special health care needs.
- Maine Resiliency Building Network (MRBN): Maine Resiliency Building Network's mission is to promote resilience in all people by increasing the understanding of the impact of traumas and stressors such as Adverse Childhood Experiences and the importance of protective factors like positive relationships. MRBN offer professional development and resources.
- NAMI Maine: NAMI is a statewide organization focused on the issue of mental illness providing support, education, and advocacy. A resource for information, training, general resources, support groups and family respite.
- Youth Leadership Advisory Team (YLAT): YLAT is a joint project between Maine’s Youth in Foster Care, ME Department of Health and Human Services, and the Muskie School at USM. It is a youth and adult partnership committed to improving outcomes for youth are or have been in foster care. They offer regional youth leadership team meetings around the state for teens and college students who are or have been in foster care.
